Exchange collections can be used to create course templates, copy content from another course, and collaborate with other instructors. You can create a copy of any shared content and add the content to an existing course or a new course.

Make a Copy from a Collection

After joining an Exchange Collection, select 'Collections' from left navigation menu.

  • Click the collection card to view the content within the collection.
    • To view the content in more detail, select the course title and expand any modules to view the content within the sections.
  • Select the copy icon on the far right to add the content to an existing course or create a new course. You can copy the shared course, unit, or lesson.

  • When choosing create a new course, you will be prompted to create a new course name and edit the course code if you would like.
    • The new course will automatically contain the copied content. As the course manager on this new course you are able to edit the copied content to meet your needs.

  • When choosing to add to an existing course, use the drop down menu to choose which course the content should be added to.
    • Content added to the existing course can now be edited by any collaborators with the proper permissions.
