Guide Owners: Managing Applications

Guide Owners in LDOE's Canopy can use the RFA Dashboard to manage current RFA applications or create a new RFA application.


Create a New RFA

If you are ready to create an RFA, select the 'Create a New RFA' button in the top right. Refer to 'Guide Owners: Create a New RFA' for more details. 



Managing Current RFAs

Use the tabs along the top RFA Dashboard table to manage Open RFA's, Applications, and My Assignments. 


  • Select the 'Open RFAs' tab to review the RFAs that are currently open. Use the table to view the RFA's Name, the associated Guide, their Publish Date, RFA Deadline (if applicable), current Number of Applications, and the assigned Guide Owner(s). 
    • Select an RFA Name to view the RFA details. 
  • Use the three dots at the right end of a row to 'Edit an RFA' or 'Make a Copy of an RFA'.


  • Select the 'Applications' tab to view the Applicants for various RFAs. 
    • View and select applicant names. 
      • Selecting an applicant's name will take you to their application. 
    • Each row of the table list the Applicant Names along with the associated RFA, Date Submitted, current RFA Status, Lead Reviewer (if assigned), Reviewer(s), and indicates if a Badge is attached.
      • The status level of each applicant will be one of the following options: 
        • Submitted - Not yet assigned to a reviewer 
        • In Review- Assigned to Reviewer
        • Approved
        • Declined
        • Submitting to BESE  
          • Once a decision has been made by BESE, guide owners will need to manually change the status in Canopy to reflect BESE's decision. 
        • Awaiting Resubmission - An applicant is invited to make changes to their application and resubmit. They will move through the process again.
    • A lead reviewer is not required, but at least one reviewer is required. There is no maximum number of reviewers, meaning an application can be assigned to as many reviewers as necessary.



  • Select 'My Assignments' to view applications that have been assigned to you for review. 
    • Select any Applicant to view their application.
    • The 'My Assignments' table also shows the associated RFA Name, Date Submitted, Review Status, and the assigned reviewer name(s). 
    • Reviewers will have check marks next to their names to indicate their review status. 
      • A gray check mark indicates the reviewer has not completed their review. 
      • A teal check mark indicates the reviewer has completed and submitted their review.
